What Thiruvarul is
A school, not a shelf of recordings

Thiruvarul studies the traditional systems of knowledge concerned with consciousness, human life, practice and philosophy — the sciences a household once learned from a teacher, taught here with the same order and the same care.
That means it is not fortune-telling, and it is not motivational spirituality. Each discipline is presented as what it has always been: a body of principles you can study, question, and put to use.
We preserve that knowledge, organise it into structured courses, explain it clearly, and deliver it in a format that fits an ordinary week.

Questions
Before you begin
Is Thiruvarul only for Tamil speakers?
The course audio is in Tamil, so understanding spoken Tamil is what a course asks of you. The app and this site read in both Tamil and English, so you can navigate in whichever you prefer. English audio may follow later.
Are the courses suitable for complete beginners?
Yes. Every course is marked beginner, intermediate, or professional, and the beginner courses assume nothing at all. You can see where a course starts before you begin it.
Are the courses self-paced?
Entirely. There is no timetable and no live class to miss. The course waits for you and resumes exactly where you stopped.
Can I download lessons for offline listening?
Yes. Lessons download in the app, which is rather the point of an audio course — trains, kitchens, and walks are rarely well-connected.
Do I need previous knowledge?
Not unless a course says so. Anything a course expects you to already know is stated on its page before you enrol.
Can I buy individual courses?
Yes. Buy a single course outright and it stays yours. A membership is the alternative, not a requirement — it opens the whole library for as long as it runs.
What does membership include?
Access to the growing Thiruvarul library while your membership is active, including courses added after you join. Prices are published when the catalogue opens.
Can I access my courses on multiple devices?
Yes. Your account carries your access and your progress. Buy on the web, listen in the app, and pick up on whichever device is to hand.
Are certificates provided?
Not at present. Thiruvarul is built around what you can actually do with the knowledge rather than around a certificate; if that changes, it will be stated plainly on the course page.
